Senator PEARCE (Western Australia) . - This afternoon, when the division wastaken on my Bill to amend the Electoral Act, a member of the Senate was engaged in a room upstairs, where, it appears, the division bell does not ring. It is a room at the end of the lobby used by the members of the Labour Party in the Senate. I suggest that a bell should be fixed in the room. A meeting of a section of the Tariff Commission was being held, and through the bell not ringing those present were not aware that a division was being taken.
