Senator PLAYFORD (South Australia) (Minister of Defence) - If the honorable senator will reflect he will remember that the Senate met on Thursday last, but not on Friday, when the other House did meet. I believe that these papers were laid upon the table of the other House on Friday. The Senate met again yesterday but did no business. This is the first opportunity I have had since the opening of Parliament to lay the papers upon the table of the Senate. In the other branch of the

Legislature an earlier opportunity occurred, which, of course, was taken advantage of by the Government.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
