Senator Lt Col GOULD (New South Wales) - I should like to know from the Minister whether it" is contemplated under the Bill as it stands that any charge shall be made for inspection? It does not appear so from the Bill, but it is just as well that the matter should be made clear. If the amendment moved by Senator Pulsford carries out the intention of the Government, it can very well be accepted, and we shall then know that inspections will not be made at the expense of the owners of the goods. There might be an attempt made by means of a regulation to prescribe a fee for inspection. It might, perhaps, not be successful, but we should make assurance doubly sure by accepting the amendment.
