Mr WILLIS (Gellibrand) - I move:

That all words after 'That' be omitted with a view to substituting the following words: whilst not opposing the Bill, the House is of the opinion that the income tax schedule to apply to individuals in 1 980-8 1 is inadequate and unfair in that the majority of taxpayers will be obliged to pay a higher proportion of their income in income tax in 1980-81 than in 1979-80, and that these increases will be most severe for low income earners'.

Mr Hurford - I second the amendment.
