Mr HAYDEN (OXLEY, QUEENSLAND) - I ask a question of the Prime Minister. In view of the widespread community resentment of the lucrative tax avoidance industry and suspicions harboured in the public mind from time to time that some prominent public figures might engage in this sort of conduct, will the Prime Minister join me in adopting the practice of aspirants to the office of public leadership in the United States of America so that we can simultaneously publish our taxation returns, including those for any business undertakings with which we might be associated, in good time for public scrutiny before the forthcoming national elections?

Mr MALCOLM FRASER (WANNON, VICTORIA) (Prime Minister) - I hope that the honourable gentleman will give the Government full support in implementing in this Parliament the recommendations of the report of the Bowen Committee of Inquiry.
