Mr Humphreys asked the Prime Minister, upon notice, on 20 May 1980:

Did he recently acknowledge the work by animal welfare societies in preventing the export of draught horses from Australia; if so, will he now consider allowing as tax deductions donations made to (a) these charities and (b) appeals such as the one for the draught horses.


Mr Malcolm Fraser - The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:

Yes, I did recently acknowledge the work by animal welfare societies in preventing the export of draught horses from Australia.

In response to part (a) and (b), I refer the honourable member to part (3) of the answer given by the Treasurer to Question No. 6106.
