Mr HODGES (Petrie) -I ask leave of the House to move a motion to enable the Standing Committee on Environment and Conservation to present its report on south-west Tasmania and the Gordon River Power Development, Stage Two, to Mr Speaker for printing and circulation during the forthcoming long adjournment.

Leave not granted.

Suspension of Standing Orders

Motion (by Mr Howe) proposed:

That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the honourable member for Batman moving a motion enabling the Standing Committee on Environment and Conservation to present its report on the South-west Tasmania and the Gordon River Power Development, Stage Two, to Mr Speaker for printing and circulation during the forthcoming long adjournment.
