Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mr Millar

Speakerhas received letters from both the honourable member for Bonython (Dr Blewett) and the honourable member for Lilley (Mr Kevin Cairns) proposing that definite matters of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion today. As required by Standing Order 107, Mr Speaker has selected the matter which in his opinion is the most urgent and important, that is that proposed by the honourable member for Bonython, namely:

The growing uncertainty, fanned by widespread and seemingly well-informed press speculation on further changes to health insurance arrangements.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.

More than the number of members required by the Standing Orders having risen in their places-
