Mr PEACOCK (Kooyong) (Minister for External Territories) - I will take note of the question asked and will write to the honourable member for KingsfordSmith (Mr Lionel Bowen). He would know the details of the negotiations which I outlined earlier in the year in a statement to this House which was accepted, as I said earlier, by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Whitlam). I know that he is not making any implications but when a question such as this is raised I think I should look into it and advise him accordingly. I think he is well aware that our record on this matter is very good indeed. At the same time I do not know whether the allegations made by him are correct. The proper thing to do is to examine them. I will do so and correspond with him as soon as possible.
