Mr BRYANT (Wills) - Mr Speaker-

Motion (by Mr Giles) proposed:

That the question be now put.

Mr BRYANT - We are debating here an example of governmental thuggery and this is another example-

Mr SPEAKER -Order! The honourable member for Wills will resume his seat. There is a motion before the Chair that the question be now put.

Mr Bryant - On a point of order, I was on my feet before the motion was moved.

Mr SPEAKER -Order! I called the honourable member for Wills. The motion that the question be now put can be moved at any time, even after an honourable member has been called by the Chair. The Assistant Government Whip has moved that the question be now put. I will now put that motion.
