Mr WHITLAM (WERRIWA, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Before I direct my question to the Minister for External Affairs, may I commend the comments he has made on the case of the Colombo Plan student who was asked by the South Vietnamese Embassy to spy on his fellow students. I am encouraged to ask him whether he has made the inquiries he promised my deputy he would make into the case of Mr Dzu, the runner-up in the last presidential elections in South Vietnam, who is still in prison, and, if so, whether he has decided that there is any action the Australian Government can take.
