Mr BERINSON (PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - 1 direct a question to the Minister for Health. Has the Minister had his attention drawn to the fact that as from next Monday the minimum weekly wage for West Austraiian adult males will be $49? Is it a fact that, under the present provisions of the National Health Act, all West Australian workers on the minimum wage will then lose their present rights to have their contributions to medical benefit funds waived or reduced? If SO, will the Minister immediately exercise his powers under the Act to prescribe amended minimum income levels so that any discrimination against West Australian workers on minimum or near minimum rates can be avoided?
