Dr FORBES (BARKER, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) (Minister for Health) - No, the Government has not abandoned the idea. It still has under consideration the proposed functions and composition of the commission and in due course it will take its final decisions on this. I might add that the fact that the commission has not yet been set up has not made any difference to the implementation of the Government's proposals in respect the new health benefits plan which has been undertaken expeditiously and efficiently in the normal way by my Department.
