Mr BOWEN (Parramatta) (AttorneyGeneral) - Although it is true in a lay or general sense to say that New South Wales law applies in the Australian Capital Territory, it does so, of course, either because of a Commonwealth Act or an ordinance which brings it into operation here. Therefore technically it comes into force in the Territory as a Territory law made under the Constitution. For this reason I would think it would be covered by the expressions in the Bill, so that no appeal would lie in such a case.

Bill agreed to.

Bill reported without amendment; report adopted.
