Mr JESSOP (GREY, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - I direct a question to the Prime Minister and refer to a statement made by the Deputy President of the Adelaide Chamber of Commerce in Hobart last week. He is reported to have said that the Federal and State Governments had not paid debts to some members in South Australia on lime and that a survey showed that $li-m had been outstanding for more than a year. I have been given to understand that $lm of this is owed by the Federal Government. Can the Prime Minister inform me whether this statement is true and, if so, will he take steps to see that in future such payments are made promptly?
