Mr TURNBULL (MALLEE, VICTORIA) - My question is addressed to the Postmaster-General. He will be aware of the advocacy for a better deal for rural telephone subscribers and of the urgent need to relieve many of them of the high cost incurred when manual services are converted to the automatic system. I ask: Does the Minister know that the policy of the Postmaster-General's Department, or perhaps I should say of the Government, relative to this subject is out of date? Can members who represent rural telephone subscribers who are adversely affected depend on the cooperation of the Postmaster-General in overcoming this problem?
