Mr COLLARD (KALGOORLIE, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Can the Treasurer say whether arrangements have been completed and agreed to between the Commonwealth Government and the Western Australian Government in relation to financial assistance for the second stage of the Ord River project? Why has it taken so long - 41 months - to reach an arrangement upon a matter to which the Government has claimed to have given continual attention over the past 4 years? If arrangements have been completed will the Treasurer tell the House what they are, particularly regarding terms of repayment? If he will not do so, is this because it would embarrass the Western Australian Government at this time?
