Mr WENTWORTH (Mackellar) - Although I sympathise very much with some of the sentiments expressed by the honourable member for Cunningham (Mr Connor), I believe these two amendments go a little too far in certain respects. They would have been desirable, I think, if they had been brought in earlier in the piece, but in their present form I am afraid they may do something to slow down or impede existing plans. They are quite different from any of the amendments which I have suggested, none of which would have any effect on immediate plans. Although I think a lot of the things said are correct, there may be some unfortunate implications if these two amendments were accepted.
