Mr Hansen (WIDE BAY, QUEENSLAND) asked the Minister for the Army, upon notice:

1.   What amount was spent on:

(a)   newspaper

(b)   radio and

(c)   television advertising in the past year seeking recruits for the Regular Army?

2.   How many: (a) males and

(b)   females volunteered to join the Army during the year 1966-677

3.   How many were successful?

4.   What were the principal reasons for the rejection of volunteers?
