Mr REYNOLDS (BARTON, NEW SOUTH WALES) - My question is directed to the Prime Minister in his capacity as Acting Treasurer. Will he tell the House why the Government did not provide for sorely needed increases of Commonwealth superannuation pensions in the present Budget, especially when it is noted that there is an amount of £71,250,000 in the Commonwealth Superannuation Fund, and that last year's receipts exceeded payments by nearly £8,500,000? As increases of superannuation benefits would not necessarily mean incurring increased Government expenditure, is there any hope of further consideration being given to this matter in the immediate future?
