Dr Donald Cameron (OXLEY, QUEENSLAND) - Perhaps I am a little dull this morning, but I cannot follow the honorable member's question. There are no medical benefits for optometrical services in which there is any Government component, but some benefit funds make payments for those services. That, as I endeavoured to explain earlier, is entirely within the discretion of the funds themselves. It would not be competent for the Government to direct the funds in this matter.

Mr Buchanan - The Minister must approve the funds.
