Mr FORBES (BARKER, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - My question is directed to the Minister for Shipping and Transport. Can he inform the House what progress has been made in the negotiations between the Commonwealth and South Australia with respect to the standardization of the railway line between Broken Hill and Port Pirie? Is it a fact that if a decision on this matter is not made quickly, the South Australian Government will be forced to spend about £500,000 on new rolling-stock which would become useless if standardization of the line were subsequently effected?
