Mr HAROLD HOLT - I immediately repudiate the quite offensive suggestion contained in the conclusion of the honorable gentleman's question. It is unwarranted, it is baseless, and it is quite unworthy of him. As far as the honorable gentleman's question generally is concerned, I certainly have no knowledge of any branch of the Commonwealth Bank being used in the manner he has mentioned. I would be surprised to learn that it is so, and I invite him to give me any facts that would indicate that it is so. If he does that, I undertake to communicate with the chairman of the board of directors of the bank and ascertain for myself what the policy is, and the basis for any such policy. Speaking for myself, I would find it very difficult to believe that there has been any such occurrence as he has mentioned.
