Mr Swartz z asked the Minister for the Interior, upon notice -

1.   Are arrangements being considered for the disposal of the land and buildings at Harristown, Toowoomba, which were previously occupied by the Department of the Army?

2.   If so, what are the details of the property for disposal?

Mr Freeth - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows: -

1.   This property is not in the hands of my department for disposal, although it is understood that the Department of the Army is looking into the question of whether the land and buildings should be retained for its purposes.

2.   The property contains approximately 46 acres of land together with two warehouse buildings, railway line and platform and various other smaller buildings.
