Opposition Members. - No

Mr Harold Holt - The Minister for Social Services has informed me that he will take not longer than two minutes to complete his speech, and I would be willing to ask the House, by leave, to extend the time of the debate to cover that period.

Mr Haylen - Will the Leader of the House extend the time of the debate to cover our next speaker?

Mr Harold Holt - Yes, for his normal ten minutes.

Mr Daly - I do not approve of the Minister receiving an extension of time. If he is granted an extension of time I shall move that the Minister for Social Services be not further heard.

Mr Cairns - Why can the Minister not complete his speech in ten minutes as every other honorable member has to do?

Mr Bird - I could have done with an extension of time myself.
