Mr POLLARD (LALOR, VICTORIA) - Is the Prime Minister aware that the Minister for Primary Industry in the last Parliament, when the Menzies Government was in office, informed this House that he had been unable to find any evidence of a buyers' ring operating to depress the price of the Australian wool clip? Is the right honorable gentleman aware now that a more actively minded government has had evidence produced on oath that buyers' rings have been operating for a considerable time on the Sydney wool market for the specific purpose of depressing the price of Australia's wool clip? Does the right honorable gentleman or his Government propose to take urgent action to deal with this great national problem in order to protect the national economy and the wool-growers of Australia?
