Mr DRUMMOND (NEW ENGLAND, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I direct to the Minister for Primary Industry a question which is supplementary to those asked by the honorable member for Mitchell and others concerning the conference of poultry scientists from a number of countries throughout the world. If it is finally decided to have that conference in Australia, will the Minister take every possible step to ensure that its meetings are not confined to the capital cities, and that either the whole conference or major subconferences are held in the great poultryproducing districts which are not immediately around the capital cities? I suggest that Tamworth, which is, I understand, the largest poultry-producing district in New South Wales outside the metropolitan area, and which is associated with the University of New England in researches conducted by the Faculty of Rural Industries, might be considered as a proper venue for the conference, or at least a major sub-conference.
