Mr MENZIES - Yesterday, the honorable member for Griffith asked me a question about the Commonwealth Statistician's investigation of a certain population problem, and I said that I would find out about it. The position is that the inquiry is not yet concluded; investigations are proceeding. The matter will fall for discussion at a conference of statisticians, which it is proposed should be held from 10th to 14th November. After the conference, no doubt we will have finality on that and other points.
