Mr Whitlam m asked the Minister for Social Services, upon notice -

1.   How often in the last financial year was a cheque for a grant under the Aged Persons Homes Act handed over on the site of the home or homes for which the grant was approved?

2.   How many of these sites were situated in electoral divisions represented in this House by Government members?

3.   How often were these cheques handed over by - (a) the Minister; (b) a Government senator; and (c) a Government member of this House?

4.   How many of the sites were situated in the electoral divisions represented in this House by Australian Labour party members?

5.   How often were the cheques in these latter cases handed over by - (a) the Minister; (b) a Government senator; (c) an Australian Labour party senator; (d) a Government member of this House; and (e) an Australian Labour party member of this House?

5. (a) 3; (b) 7; (c) Nil; (d) 1; (e) nil. The deputy leader of the Australian Labour party indicated that he was unwilling to co-operate in the presentation of cheques.
