Mr McMAHON - I have been waiting for these proposals for at least two years. It is only in the last week or two that I have received them. So far, I have not been able to give them very detailed consideration, because they are complicated and require a great deal of thought. I have referred the problem to the Australian Agricultural Council, because that is the body that must make the preliminary decision before the Commonwealth takes action. I think the honorable gentleman will realize that it will not be possible for me to present any proposals to the Government before the House rises in a few weeks' time.
