Mr HAYLEN (PARKES, NEW SOUTH WALES) - My question is addressed to the Prime Minister. In view of the fact that we are straining every nerve at the moment to increase our overseas trade and that conferences are being held, was there any reason why £26,000,000 should be spent in the purchase of American aircraft when British aircraft, of a type that could be used with equal efficiency by our airways, were available?
