Mr DEDMAN - I was underthe impression that I had advised the honorable member by letter ofthe result of my investigation of this matter. It was decided as a matter of policy that the council would he continued as an advisory body and I believed that all the necessary steps had been taken to enable it to do so. However, when I made inquiries I ascertained that some difficulty had arisen in relation to the drafting of the appropriate regulation. That matter is now before the Attorney-General and I hope shortly to hear that the difficulty, whatever it may have been, has been overcome. The necessary regulation will then be issued and the advisory council be formally established.
