Mr BEALE (PARRAMATTA, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Some considerable time ago I asked the Attorney-General a question concerning the consolidation and codification of the ordinances of Papua and New Guinea, which are well known to be in a confused and chaotic state. On that occasion the right honorable gentleman gave me a general reply which indicated that the matter would be given consideration. I now ask him to say how far the work has proceeded. What steps have been taken to make the laws of those two territories readily accessible to members of the legal profession who are engaged in administering them and to the public in those territories?
