Mr WHITE - I ask the Minister for External Affairs to disclose what information the Australian Government has received concerning recent reports of plans sponsored by the United .States of America and the United Kingdom to settle 5,000,000 Japanese on North Borneo and other Pacific islands. Is the approval of the United Nations organization being, sought for the settlement of large numbers of Japanese on those islands? Will the Minister for External Affairs point out to the British Government that British pre-war policy was opposed to Japanese mass migration to British-owned or controlled territories in the Pacific region, and that Australia's policy is still opposed to such migration?
