Mr DUTHIE (WILMOT, TASMANIA) - In view of the decision of the Australian .Shipping Board to allocate the 10,000-ton " river " class vessel, River Murchison, to Beauty Point on the Tamar River at the end of September to lift more than 200,000 tons of timber for Victoria, a matter in respect of which I made personal representation to the Minister for Shipping and Fuel, will the Minister representing the Minister for Shipping and Fuel take up with his colleague the possibility of allocating three, or four, vessels of the same class annually to northern Tasmania in order to prevent the unnecessary stock-piling of timber in Tasmania which has occurred in the past owing to lack of shipping space?
