Mr CHIFLEY - I am not up to date with what news items have appeared in to-day's press, as I have not read any newspaper this morning. I really do not know what bearing the honorable member's question would have on the difficulties at present existing on the coalfields. I undersand that the right honorable member for Kooyong went to the coal-fields in 1940 and addressed the miners in connexion with certain existing disputes. I shall read the article to which the honorable member has referred to see whether it contains anything about which I can make a valuable comment.
