Mr BOWDEN - When the Prime Minister is dealing with this matter will he take into consideration the recommendation of the naval advisers of the Government that the naval base should be removed from the port of Sydney altogether, and whether it should not be transferred to Port Stephens as originally intended ?

Mr BRUCE - It is obvious that the Government must give consideration to the whole matter. It is also certain that the recommendations that have been made in regard to Port Stephens which, if carried out, would involve the complete removal of the naval base from Sydney, must have the consideration of the Government.
