Mr E RILEY (SOUTH SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Treasurer, upon notice -

1.   With reference to the statement of the Treasurer on the 19th instant that Mr. J. R. Collins is receiving remuneration of £500 per annum as a member of the Commonwealth Bank Board of Advice in London, in addition to £2,000 per annum and £250 per annum entertainment allowance as financial adviser, will he state how much Mr. Collins has received to dato for being on the Board of Advice in London?

2.   What is the reason for allowing such a highly-paid officer to occupy two important positions ?

3.   What other allowances are being made to Mr. Collins in addition to this £2,750 a year?
