Mr MARKS (through Mr. Manning) asked the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that recently a life-long collection of scarce and valuable official and other patent records was offered as a gift to the Federal Government?

2.   If so, of what does such collection consist?

3.   Was the gift accepted, and, if so, upon what conditions, if any?

4.   If accepted, will the literary collection be available for the use of the public, and, if so. where and when?

5.   What is the name of the donor?
