Mr WEST (EAST SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Some two years ago a commission was appointed to investigate the constitutional question - this side of the House did not favour its appointment - and that commission, I believe, is costing £200 a week. I was informed before I left Sydney the other day, that it is the intention of that commission to delay its report, and not to submit it for the consideration of this Parliament. I ask the Prime Minister whether there is any truth in that report, and why this Parliament has not had an opportunity of dealing with the constitutional question.
