Mr RODGERS (WANNON, VICTORIA) .- Can the Minister say whether work on the national war memorial at Canberra is likely to commence before Parliament is again called together?


Sir Neville Howse - I hope that the foundation stone of the memorial will be laid on the 11th November next, before which time I hope that Parliament will again be in session.


Mr RODGERS (WANNON, VICTORIA) - Will honorable members be afforded an opportunity of considering the material to be used in the building?


Sir Neville Howse - Yes.
