Mr ANSTEY (BOURKE, VICTORIA) asked the Minister for Home and Territories, upon notice -

1.   With regard to the question of the honorable member for Bourke on the 13th instant, in reply to which the Minister stated that the Federal Capital Commission was about to adjust rent and living allowance anomalies and, in a " week or two," would announce the extent of such adjustments, in view of the fact that recently an officer of the Commission stated before the Public Accounts Committee that rents would be reduced " in a day or two," and in view of the fact that these admitted anomalies were brought under the notice of the Commission over five months ago, will the Minister ask the Commission to name a definite date before which the announcement will be made, and inform the House accordingly?

2.   Will reductions in rent be made retrospective?
