Mr PARKER MOLONEY (HUME, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Recently the Minister for Works and Railways stated that, on the estimate of a surveyor for the Main Roads Board the construction of 20 miles of road between Canberra and Tumut would cost £400,000. Is the Minister aware that the estimate of the surveyor to whom he referred was for 48, not for 20 miles? That being so, will the honorable gentleman investigate the matter again, and ascertain exactly what was the estimate for the 20 miles of road ?
