Home and Territories, upon notice -

1.   How many shipping contracts are operating in North Australia?

2.   Who was responsible for the letting of such contracts?

3.   What subsidies are being paid, and to whom ?

4.   How many applications were received for the contracts in question?

5.   Were all the vessels inspected and reported upon, as to suitability, by the Navigation Department; if not, why not?

6.   On whose recommendation was the tender of Mr. George, with the ketch Active, accepted ?

7.   Was it known that the ketch Active was uninsurable?

8.   In view of the fact that insurance companies refuse to insure the ketch Active or any cargo carried by the said ketch, what provisions are being made by the North Australia Commission to protect the settlers' stores ?

9.   When was the ketch Active built?
