Sir NEVILLE HOWSE - The replies % to the honorable member's questions are as follow: -

1.   I have received a request that a definition of the form of public control that would be adopted, in the event of an affirmative vote in favour of public control being recorded at the forthcoming liquor poll, should be included in the enabling legislation, but I am not aware to what extent this request is representative of public opinion in Canberra.

2.   It is not the practice to make statements in regard to matters of Government policy in reply to questions.
