Mr WATT - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follow: -

1.   Continuous audits have been and are carried on by the Government Accountant, Darwin, who acts for the Auditor-General as an Audit Inspector.

2.   The Audit Inspector now nearing Darwin left Melbourne in April last to examine the accounts in the Territory of Papua, with instructions to afterwards proceed to Darwin to make an exhaustive audit of the Northern Territory accounts.

3.   In about a month's time.
