Mr RODGERS (WANNON, VICTORIA) - Besides, there is only one income.

Mr GROOM - Quite so. Of course, there may. be different standards of defining income, and that being so I do not see how we can hope to get other than an approximate return. If later it becomes necessary to impose an income tax, a complete and uniform definition covering the whole of Australia will no doubt be made. I am glad to be able to assist the Government in passing this measure, and I hope, in my own State, to assist in securing complete and adequate returns.
