Mr RODGERS (WANNON, VICTORIA) - One of our Australian soldiers who took part in the actions at the Dardanelles has written to his wife a letter, in which he says that he is " chancing a note to let her know that all is well," and that he has " sent two cables after each battle," so that she would not worry. Neither cable message has reached the wife, and I ask the Assistant Minister of Defence if he will see that every such message that is received in Australia from the seat of war is delivered, no matter what trouble it may give the Department to deliver it

Mr JENSEN - I have no knowledge that these cables have ever arrived in Australia.
