Mr FISHER - The answer to the honorable member's question is -

The policy of the Government in all matters is that, other things being equal, the unionist is to get preference of employment.

The Government is confident that members of trade unions and industrial organizations will be found just as prominent in offering their best services to their country in the manufacture of necessary munitions of war as they were in taking their places in the fighting line at the front.
