The CHAIRMAN - Order ! The item before the Chair has nothing to do with the question of railways.

Mr PATTEN - I admit that I have deviated slightly from the 'line I should take-. I rose principally, to suggest that the salaries of the manager of the experimental farms, and also of the experimentalists, which are fixed at £350 and £200 respectively, should be substantially increased, and I hope that the Minister will give these men a little more consideration.
